Job Overview
We’re looking for a creative, highly organized and proactive Marketing & Content Creator to join our passionate team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves crafting compelling visuals and messaging, executing graphic and social media marketing, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating directly with ownership and management to bring brand vision to life for a family of five Bay Area restaurants.
What You’ll Do
- Design and produce marketing materials including graphics, social media and email campaigns, flyers, website maintenance and re-designs, and digital assets.
- Write and edit engaging content for social media, newsletters, and website with awareness of brand identity.
- Collaborate closely with the ownership to align messaging with brand voice and business goals.
- Assist in planning and then manage execution of marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Work with ownership and senior management on promoted events such as wine dinners, collaborations with brand ambassadors, community engagement events, live music and other dynamic events.
- Maintain and update social media channels and website content.
- Monitor engagement and provide monthly reports and insights to improve performance.
- Position will be expected to work from our Corporate Offices in Emeryville & Mill Valley, and onsite with management at each restaurant property in San Francisco, Oakland, Mill Valley & Emeryville.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 + years of experience in marketing, content creation, graphic design (internships count!).
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar design tools.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone and detail.
- Self-starter with excellent time management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently, taking initiative and working collaboratively as a team player.
- Excited to engage with leaders throughout the company.
- Passion for storytelling and visual communication.
- Photography and video editing skills.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Eventbright, ).
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website management (e.g., Squarespace, WordPress).
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality written content for various channels, including blogs, articles, social media posts, and website copy.
- Conduct keyword research to optimize content for SEO and improve organic search rankings.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to create visually appealing content using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Photoshop.
- Manage content across different platforms using Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Edit and proofread all content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Implement content strategies that enhance user engagement and drive traffic through effective digital marketing techniques.
- Utilize Google Analytics to track content performance and make data-driven decisions for future projects.
- Create compelling copy for email marketing campaigns that drive conversions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for new content initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends in digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media management.
