Restaurant Server

Position Summary

The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing prompt, courteous, and attentive service to guests. This role ensures accurate order taking, food and beverage delivery, and maintains a clean and welcoming environment aligned with organizational service standards.

Responsibilities

Include the following: other duties may be assigned, including all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor:

• Greet guests promptly and professionally
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations
• Accurately take and input food and beverage order
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns
• Process payments accurately (cash, card, POS system)
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with kitchen and team members to ensure smooth service
• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed on menu updates
• Perform opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
• Support team members during high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous serving experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash handling skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift to 25–30 pounds
• Ability to carry trays and bend, reach, and twist as needed
• Work Environment
• Restaurant setting with moderate to high noise levels
• May include evenings, weekends, and holidays
