Restaurant Shift Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional customer service, manage staff effectively, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to handle various responsibilities, including inventory control and budgeting, while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide outstanding customer service, addressing any guest concerns or feedback promptly.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to enhance team performance.
• Oversee inventory control, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Implement and enforce food safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in budgeting processes and monitor financial performance throughout the shift.
• Coordinate banquet services and special events, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment for both staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the hotel or food service management sectors.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively with a focus on training development.
• Experience in shift management with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
