Restaurat Hostess

IKIGAI Restaurant is seeking for an experienced professional Host / Hostess for our beautiful restaurant in Brickell key

The primary responsibilities of Hosts and Hostesses include greeting and seating guests, keeping track of tables and making sure each server gets a fair amount, answering phones, and taking reservations.

The ideal candidate must have a warm attitude, excellent restaurant experience, customer service & interpersonal skills, and also uphold professional working relationships with other team members and maintain composure while under stress.

Essential Functions

• Open door for both arriving and departing guests.
• Greet (both arriving and departing) and seat all guests in a friendly manner and assist in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.
• Escort guests as soon as possible to appropriate table and inform guest of their server’s name. Present menus to guests, explain specials and offers assistance if necessary.
• Answer the phones and schedule dining reservations for guests in advance.
• Accommodate any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.
• Manage the wait list when the restaurant is full.
• Provide assistance to servers as needed.
• Inspect and maintain the dining facilities, spot any cleanliness issues.
• Instruct the busser/runners and servers when necessary.
• Display basic knowledge of our menus and specials.
• Operate computer in prescribed manner for recording reservations and guest requests.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain work area clean and organized and attend required meetings.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor, including cross-training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
