Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Retail Category Manager, located in Cairo, Egypt. The Retail Category Manager will be responsible for managing product categories, analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, procurement processes, and driving sales strategies. Day-to-day tasks include category planning, evaluating supplier performance, coordinating with sales teams, and optimizing product assortments to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• Category Management and Procurement skills
• Strong Analytical Skills and ability to evaluate market trends
• Maintain and enhance the chain gross margin.
• Sourcing new categories to enhance the QTY sold out and increase the category margin.
• Enhance the Back Margin by determining the shelf rent, marketing tools, listing fees & Rebate %.
• Monitor the category performance on weekly base to -enhance the actual sales Vs. to Budget. (Category Management).
• Draft the yearly contracts with the suppliers.
• Assign and draw the stores plan-o-gram according to the suppliers’ commitments.
• Support the sales out by determining a yearly event.
• Evaluate the competition prices and determine the RSP strategy
• Experience in Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management
• Sales and Revenue Optimization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Experience in the retail industry is a plus
