Retail Coordinator

Job Summary:


The Retail Operations Coordinator is responsible for executing daily operational activities across branch locations, ensuring retail setups and vending machines are operating smoothly. This includes conducting site visits, performing quality checks, supporting promotions, maintaining brand standards, and gathering customer insights. This role is key to optimizing performance, driving customer satisfaction, and supporting expansion.


Responsibilities:


1.Branch Visits & Field Operations

- Conduct regular visits to branch locations to audit retail setups (vending machines, shelves, kiosks, displays).

- Ensure all machines are functional, clean, and fully stocked.

- Monitor customer behavior, collect feedback, and report findings.

- Train staff or partners on product knowledge and vending protocols (if needed).

- Capture photos/videos for quality assurance and marketing support.


2. Retail Execution & Standards

- Ensure that visual merchandising and branding meet company guidelines.

- Assist in launching new product placements or seasonal promotions.

- Coordinate signage, promotional materials, and pricing updates.


3. Operational Support

- Receive and inspect incoming products at branch locations to ensure quantity and quality match delivery documentation.

- Report maintenance needs, low stock alerts, and technical issues to the operations or service team.

- Support inventory reconciliation and stock movement from warehouse to site.

- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams for stock replenishment planning.


4. Performance Monitoring

- Track sales performance of vending units or branch locations.

- Identify underperforming areas and suggest improvement actions.

- Compile weekly field reports with insights and action points.


5. Expansion & Setup Support

- Assist in onboarding new branch locations.

- Coordinate initial setup and merchandising of new vending points.

- Support pilot programs and testing of new retail concepts or technologies.


6. Profitability & Sales Growth

- Analyze product sales data to identify best-selling and underperforming items.

- Work with sales and marketing to implement sales-boosting strategies.

- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities at branch locations.

- Recommend pricing adjustments or bundling strategies to maximize profits.

- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to suggest new product offerings.

- Support loyalty and promotional campaigns to enhance customer retention.


Qualifications & Skills:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail operations, field supervision, or FMCG.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to travel frequently across branches.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Self-driven and solution-oriented.
