Retail Marketing Manager

Summary Objective

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of retail marketing programs, campaigns, activations, and strategic partnerships that drive traffic, engagement, capture rate, and sales across all store formats. This role serves as a cross-functional connector, ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned, operationally executable, and performance-driven, while supporting both street store growth and gym-based marketing opportunities.

  • Project management for the execution of marketing programs and campaigns designed to drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
  • Lead end-to-end campaigns and product launches by developing go-to-market strategies, leading guest-facing activations, collaborating with other cross-functional teams, and leveraging customer feedback to inform ongoing marketing insights and optimization.
  • Manage marketing project workflows by developing detailed project briefs, building and maintaining Asana boards, assigning tasks with clear deliverables and deadlines, facilitating cross-functional conversations, and ensuring all campaign components are completed on time.
  • Lead marketing events & activations in support of new product launches, limited time offers, brand collaborations and promotional moments, and new store opening celebrations that support brand awareness, traffic-driving initiatives, and guest acquisition.
  • Serve as the primary marketing partner to internal operational stakeholders, Equinox and Club Studio, developing and executing integrated initiatives that support gym-led activations while driving brand awareness and sales for Earthbar and Beaming.
  • Lead and optimize gym-based field marketing initiatives designed to increase capture rate, strengthen member engagement, and drive in-gym traffic through targeted promotions, activations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Develop and implement field marketing programs for street stores that drive local awareness, build strategic partnerships, and increase traffic through events, collaborations, and neighborhood outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and campaign goals. Communicate with Ops Services on distribution.
  • Maintain an organized repository of marketing materials and ensure all content is current and accurate.
  • Review campaign performance and key marketing metrics, analyze results against objectives, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize future programs and drive measurable growth.
  • Act as the main marketing contact for store teams, addressing individual inquiries, supporting one-off local needs, and resolving campaign execution challenges.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office, store, indoors and outdoors environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, photocopiers, cameras, filing cabinets, and other presentation materials. Some travel between the main office and the stores.

Travel

Some travel between the main office and the stores.


Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the retail or food and beverage industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Asana. Familiarity with Slack and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A nimble and creative problem solver who is detail-oriented and can work both independently and as part of a team.
