OVERVIEW: The Retail Receiving Clerk at Boca West Country Club is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming retail supplies, merchandise, and inventory. This role ensures that all deliveries are properly documented, stored, and distributed to support the club’s retail operations, maintaining inventory accuracy and efficient logistics.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and inspect all incoming shipments of retail merchandise, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Inspect items for damage, discrepancies, or defects; report issues to vendors and management.
  • Record received items in the inventory management system accurately and timely.
  • Label and store merchandise and supplies appropriately in designated areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock organization to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments and transfers as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other departments regarding deliveries and inventory needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Support inventory control procedures and assist with stock replenishment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory management, or retail operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights and perform physical tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and inventory management software is a plus.
