Accounting Clerk - Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply payments to customer accounts.
  • Scan and merge PO invoices for reconciliation.
  • Reconcile three-way match PO invoices.
  • Prepare bank deposit and take the deposit to the bank.
  • Reconcile retail store and intercompany invoices for payment.
  • Reconcile freight and non-PO invoices for payment.
  • Maintain and collect sales tax exempt forms from customers.
  • Complete new vendor credit applications.
  • New vendor setup including verification of banking information for ACH payments.
  • Supply tax exempt forms to vendors.
  • Enters and tracks capital project invoices.
  • Weekly retail reports as assigned.
  • Gross profit margin tracking for retail locations.
  • Provides backup coverage as needed for other team members in the accounting department.
  • Adheres to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures with Accounts Receivable and Payable.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience with ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or Microsoft D365.
Skills:
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries.
  • Excellent listening skills, ability to operate in difficult scenarios and focus on the solution.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention for detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • To be able to sit for long periods of time. To review and focus on written and computer-generated documents for long period of time. Employees are occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.
