Retail Sales Associate Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Salesperson to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional to start in an in-store sales capacity, learning the business from the ground up, and progressively grow into an outside sales role. The ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades / Swiss Army knife, eager to get hands-on with products, understand customer needs, and master the full sales process from the shop floor to client site visits.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Sales (Initial Phase):

• Assist walk-in and phone customers with product selection, order placement, and technical questions.

• Process orders, invoices, and maintain accurate customer records.

• Learn product lines in detail (ropes, rigging hardware, lifting, safety, and custom solutions).

• Support inventory management, merchandising, and day-to-day store operations.

• Provide outstanding customer service to establish strong client relationships. Growth into Outside Sales:

• Develop and manage a book of business with new and existing accounts across marine, construction, and industrial sectors.

• Conduct client visits, site walk-throughs, and demonstrations to understand customer needs and recommend solutions

• Identify new sales opportunities, prepare quotes, and close deals.

• Work closely with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or related experience (retail, industrial supply, or B2B preferred).

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Hands-on learner with the ability to pick up technical product knowledge quickly.

• Comfortable working both in-store and in the field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for outside sales.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred given Miami’s market.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
