Austin Custom Brass seeks a new team member.

We are seeking a new team member to assist, primarily, in our shipping and receiving department. This is one of the most important responsibilities of an ACB team member and we are actively seeking a Rock Star!

This would be a great job opportunity for a college student studying music!

Hours available: 20-40 a week. Must be available to work Monday and Friday. All other work days in the work schedule can be negotiated.

Austin Custom Brass will provide paid training.

Austin Custom Brass is seeking to add a new team member. It is most desirable for us to add a full-time employee but will equally consider part-time applicants. We are looking to hire immediately. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Minimum starting pay is $18 per hour.

Job Title: Retail Team Support and Logistics

Necessary skills for success:

There will be some lifting required (up to 40lbs) but most of the job is office based “desk work” combined with shipping and receiving of small to medium sized items. Austin Custom Brass is a locally owned and operated small business that delivers service throughout the world. Work hours are between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays. Saturdays are not required for this position (but encouraged) and the ideal candidate will be available Monday through Friday for work (Mondays and Fridays are required).

Austin Custom Brass is closed for all federal holidays (these are paid holidays if it is a regularly scheduled work day for you).

While knowledge of brass instruments (such as trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba) would be valuable it is not necessary for the position. Familiarity with Ship Station is desirable but not required for consideration.

Work attire is casual (jeans acceptable and shorts acceptable during the summer).

Job Duties:

-managing logistics related to shipping and receiving:

• Ensuring all incoming orders are printed off and ready to ship (for in stock items)
• communicating with appropriate team members for out of stock items
• Receiving of new items and ensuring they are inventoried correctly and if applicable shipped for pending orders
• This may require working with shipping/receiving freight shipments (though that is not the majority of what we do)
• assist with day to day shipping and receiving

-provide additional support working with management for:

• Purchase orders for schools, non-profit organizations, and military purchases
• Organize tax exempt documents
• Follow up on purchase orders, ensure payment received
• Instruments out-for-loan or trial to school programs
• Maintain current documentation of where and who has instruments on loan
• Facilitate the shipment of, and return of, on-loan instruments
• Communicate with sales teams when on-loan instruments could become sales
• Help assist management preparing for trade shows and educational events at schools

-assisting the Assistant Manager with inventory

• Notifying A.M. of out of stock items and low stock items
• Physical audit of shop inventory

Potential additional duties:

-provide support to sales and client communication team by assisting with emails

• We will teach you answers to questions but much of the responsibility will be answering inquiries related to orders and forwarding emails to the appropriate team members

assist with retail websites

• ACB
• Reverb
• Ebay

-assist with managing social media

-assist with managing consignment contracts

• Making sure all consignment instruments are accounted for
• Making sure any consignment sale is properly closed out on schedule once and item has sold
