Review and Diligence Attorney- Commercial Real Estate

National Firm is seeking a Loan Review & Diligence Attorney to join its award-winning team.

Position summary

• Seeking an experienced and meticulous Attorney to join the real estate finance team.
• The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of experience representing lenders in the origination of commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine loans.
• This role is key to performing due diligence and reviewing loan files for a wide range of commercial real estate financings, with an emphasis on attention to detail and issue-spotting.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and spot issues in loan documents, opinions, leases, title policies, surveys, and other due diligence materials related to commercial real estate transactions.
• Manage and execute the due diligence process for new mortgage and mezzanine loan originations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure all aspects of the transaction are thoroughly vetted and compliant.
• Provide legal counsel and support to lending clients on transaction-related issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents associated with commercial real estate financing.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the state bar where the position is located.
• A minimum of 5 years of legal experience representing lenders in commercial real estate finance and loan originations.
• Demonstrable expertise in reviewing complex loan documentation and conducting comprehensive due diligence.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong issue-spotting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of loans secured by all major commercial real estate asset classes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $174,701.00 - $285,754.00 per year
