We are seeking an experienced Offshore Rigger to join our dynamic offshore operations team. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in rigging operations for offshore projects, including platform installations, subsea operations, and heavy lift activities. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in challenging offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex lifting operations on offshore platforms, vessels, and installations, ensuring safe handling of equipment and materials.
  • Inspect, maintain, and certify all rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, chains, and lifting gear, in compliance with offshore standards.
  • Collaborate with crane operators using standardized hand signals or radio communication to direct lifts and ensure precise load placement.
  • Develop and review lift plans in coordination with engineering and safety teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Secure loads for sea-fastening and transport, preventing movement or damage during offshore transit.
  • Adhere to strict HSE policies, including participation in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Support subsea operations by rigging and handling equipment for ROVs, diving systems, and pipeline installations.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of modular platforms and offshore structures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Rigger in offshore oil & gas, wind farm, or marine construction projects.
  • Valid offshore certifications, including but not limited to:
  • OPITO Rigging Training
  • BOSIET/FOET or HUET
  • OGUK Medical Certificate
  • Proven experience with:
  • Dynamic lifting operations in adverse weather conditions
  • Tandem and multi-crane lifts
  • Offshore vessel cargo operations
  • Familiarity with international standards, including LOLER, DNV, and API regulations.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, lift plans, and engineering schematics.
  • Proficiency in calculating load weights, centers of gravity, and rigging configurations.
  • Experience with hydraulic torque/tensioning tools and other specialized rigging equipment.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a remote offshore environment on a rotational schedule (e.g., 14/14, 28/28).
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and over water.
  • Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and working in extreme weather conditions.
