JOB DESCRIPTION
The Risk Data & Modelling Analyst supports the processing and analysis of tax data by Collecting and Preparing datasets, Executing basic analytical tasks, and Documenting outputs for review by the Risk Data & Modelling Expert. The role contributes to dashboards and reports, Maintains data and metadata records, and Supports development and testing of analytical tools that enable risk assessment and decision-making across GTA.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Preparation
- Collect and Prepare tax data from internal and external systems for use in analytical and modelling activities.
- Perform basic data validation, cleaning, and formatting to Support data quality and consistency.
Basic Analytics & Modelling Support
- Execute simple exploratory analyses (such as summaries, trend views, and comparisons) to Support identification of patterns relevant to compliance risk and performance.
- Prepare input tables and intermediate datasets that Contribute to predictive or analytical models developed by senior staff.
Dashboards, Reports & Documentation
- Prepare draft charts, tables, and data extracts for dashboards and analytical reports used by management and operational units.
- Document analytical steps, data sources, and assumptions in working files to Support review and replication of analyses.
Stakeholder & Requirements Support
- Support meetings with departments by Preparing data packs and basic summaries of requested indicators.
- Record and Document data requirements and identified data gaps for follow-up by the Risk Data & Modelling Expert and IT.
Tools, Systems & Testing
- Support analytical tool development by Preparing test datasets, Running simple test cases, and Documenting issues or user feedback.
- Maintain shared templates and reference files used for recurring analyses and reporting.
Records Management & Confidentiality
- Maintain organized and confidential records of datasets, analytical outputs, and shared reports, in line with data governance standards.
- Ensure careful handling of sensitive tax data in all day-to-day activities.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorâs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Masterâs degree in a related field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role in government, tax, finance, or compliance is preferred; internships and academic projects can be considered.
- Basic familiarity with data analysis tools, databases, or BI/reporting solutions is an advantage.
- Ability to work with data using spreadsheets and basic analytical or BI tools.
- Attention to detail in data preparation, checking, and documentation.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from more senior data and risk specialists

Pay: Up to QAR20,000.00 per month
