Saudi Services for Electro Mechanic Works Co. (SSEM) is a 100% Saudi-owned closed joint stock company and a member of the Al-Rashid Group. Established in 1976, originally under the name Saudi Swiss Electro Mechanic Works Co. Ltd., the company became wholly owned by Al-Rashid Group in 1981 and has since grown into one of the Kingdom's leading EPC contractors.

SSEM specializes in the turnkey execution of large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects, operating as a Main Contractor, Consortium Leader, or Joint Venture Partner. The company holds Grade 1 classification for both Electrical and Mechanical Works in Saudi Arabia.


Role Summary

The Risk Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the project's risk management process in accordance with PMI standards and ISO 31000. The role ensures that threats and opportunities affecting cost, schedule, scope, quality, and HSE objectives are systematically identified, analyzed, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Risk Management Plan and supporting procedures.
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops with project stakeholders and maintain the project risk register.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo schedule and cost risk analysis.
  • Monitor risk triggers, track mitigation actions, and report risk exposure to project management and the client.
  • Integrate risk outputs with the project schedule, cost baseline, change management, and contingency processes.
  • Provide risk input to monthly reporting, forecasts, and management reviews.
  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure alignment on risk reporting and mitigation.
  • Promote risk awareness and a structured risk culture across the project organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years minimum of demonstrated experience as a Risk Engineer or Risk Manager on large-scale infrastructure or EPC projects.
  • 3 Years as a lead minimum
  • PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of PMI PMBOK and ISO 31000 risk management standards.
  • Proficiency with risk analysis software (Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, @RISK, or ARM) and Primavera P6.
