Job Description

• Provide AV support for school events, assemblies, meetings, performances and live functions.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot AV equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, LED panels and video conferencing systems.
• Ensure the smooth operation of auditorium AV systems during rehearsals and live events.
• Conduct routine maintenance, calibration and updates of AV equipment.
• Respond promptly to AV-related service requests and minimise system downtime.
• Support classroom AV technologies such as smartboards and sound systems.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate AV solutions with the school’s network infrastructure.
• Train staff and students on the effective and safe use of AV equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of AV equipment and accessories.
• Assist with the installation, configuration and upgrade of AV systems.
• Document AV configurations and standard setups for events and venues.
• Stay informed of emerging AV technologies and recommend enhancements as appropriate.
• Provide team support and operational cover when required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AV Technician, preferably within an educational environment.
• Strong experience supporting live events, performances and classroom AV systems.
• Demonstrated ability in AV system installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.
• Physically able and comfortable working with equipment setups, including working at height.
