Initials accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patient.

Performs appropriate and age specific triage on all patients within 5 minutes of arrival to ED including chief complaint, v.s., time and signature.

Assignment of level of triage as appropriate based on brief history and indicated vital signs. Performs and documents appropriate nursing history and physical admission on an ongoing basis.

Performs and documents age specific basic physiological condition of the patient to include; mental status, skin signs, pain level and complaint specific information.

Reflects psychosocial needs of the patient.

Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his health problem(s) and his expectations of the present hospitalization.
Job Requirements
Required
-
Currently licensed by the State of California as a Registered Nurse.

Minimum two years Acute Care Experience

Graduate of an accredited RN program

Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS within 90 days.

Current PALS withing 90 days
-
Ability to assess patients & deliver care according to specific needs of all age groups.
