Founded in 1946, Dignity Health - French Hospital Medical Center is a 112-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Luis Obispo, California. Serving over 150,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including heart care, orthopedics, and a family birthing center. Additionally, French Hospital Medical Center has been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, and has achieved an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for every reporting period since 2012.
Pay Range
$78.48 - $78.48 /hour

- Initials accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patient.
- Performs appropriate and age specific triage on all patients within 5 minutes of arrival to ED including chief complaint, v.s., time and signature.
- Assignment of level of triage as appropriate based on brief history and indicated vital signs. Performs and documents appropriate nursing history and physical admission on an ongoing basis.
- Performs and documents age specific basic physiological condition of the patient to include; mental status, skin signs, pain level and complaint specific information.
- Reflects psychosocial needs of the patient.
- Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his health problem(s) and his expectations of the present hospitalization.
Job Requirements
Required
- Currently licensed by the State of California as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum two years Acute Care Experience
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS within 90 days.
- Current PALS withing 90 days
- Ability to assess patients & deliver care according to specific needs of all age groups.
Preferred
- Emergency department experience
