
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of roads, pavements, signage, street furniture, and drainage systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and maintenance standards.
- Identify and document defects, surface deterioration, cracks, potholes, and other road-related issues during routine patrols.
- Monitor ongoing maintenance and repair works to confirm adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out using approved materials and proper construction methods.
- Supervise and verify contractors’ workmanship and report any deviations or non-conformities to the PMO Engineer.
- Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants, and municipal authorities for corrective actions and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Participate in joint inspections and assist in assessing the condition of road assets using approved checklists and inspection forms.
- Support preventive maintenance programs by identifying recurring defects and recommending long-term solutions.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all inspections, maintenance activities, and corrective actions in the PMO system.
- Verify that traffic management and safety measures are properly implemented during road works.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection and progress reports for submission to the Project Engineer or Maintenance Manager.
- Follow up on pending maintenance work orders and ensure timely closure of assigned tasks.
- Participate in technical meetings and provide feedback or recommendations for improving maintenance performance.
- Assist in evaluating contractors’ performance and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor environmental conditions affecting road assets, such as water accumulation or erosion, and propose preventive measures.
- Support emergency response teams during road incidents or infrastructure failures.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, contractors, and PMO representatives.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company HSE policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in road inspection or maintenance supervision.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure maintenance, materials, and road construction techniques.
- Experience in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, is preferred.
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of worksite safety practices.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Valid Saudi or transferable driving license.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and manage multiple inspection zones.
