Roads Engineer

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable “Road Engineer” with the following requirements:

• Develop road design plans, specifications, and blueprints.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine road routes and infrastructure needs.
• Design for safety, traffic flow, drainage, signage, and paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
• Prepare engineering reports, coordinate with other departments and agencies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct traffic studies to analyze traffic patterns and recommend improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Exposure and general awareness of risk management procedures to minimize EXP and client’s exposure.
• Exposure to work planning and tailoring design process to the available hours in work plan for a project.
• Understand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation.
• Work with PC, PM, and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones.
• Manage and deliver deliverables and revisions for various milestones.
• Applying EXP standards and practices (IE: training materials, OneNote, etc.) to each project.
• Market Sector – Generally understands differences in design requirements or approaches between sectors.
• Attend to project sites and construction meetings and provides technical input.
• Positively contributes to EXP and local office culture.
• Proficient in producing working CAD drawings and models.
• Proficient and well versed with the Saudi Building Code.
• Apply engineering principles to solve transport problems and improve traffic efficiency

Background and Qualifications

• 6-9 Minimum Years of Experience in Road Engineering in Saudi Arabia
• Holder of a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers
• Proficient in CAD software, REVIT, and other aspects within the BIM environment
• Proficient and well versed with the Saudi Building Code.
• Licensed to perform relevant duties in Saudi Arabia
• Experience working on prestigious and large road infrastructure projects

• Professionalism: Appropriate written and verbal communications skills.
• Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.)
• Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
• Leads participation in voluntary training opportunities such as vendor lunch and learns. (IE: engage and ask questions)
• Positively contributes to EXP and local office culture.
• Self-starter, team collaborator, and overall value-added.
