Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Manager Role Purpose:

The Head of Robotics leads the deployment, management, and continuous improvement of robotic systems across Innovo construction projects. The role oversees operational allocation, site support and performance of robotic units executing core trade activities such as rebar fixing, painting, floor tiling, concrete levelling and block laying. This position manages a team of Robotics Engineers and Operators, ensuring seamless integration of robotics into project execution. The role collaborates with construction, engineering, procurement, and technology teams to drive automation efficiency and support Innovo transformation strategy. It is a growth-oriented role shaping the future of robotics adoption across Innovo.

Key Accountabilities: Performance Data Collection & Validation
  • Coordinate with various departments to collect regular data.
  • Maintain structured datasets and trackers (e.g., monthly reporting, project status, financial performance).
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee allocation, scheduling, and deployment of robotics across active project sites.
  • Ensure daily operations run smoothly, including maintenance and performance optimisation.
  • Develop and implement operational support frameworks and SOPs.
  • Monitor utilisation and productivity of all construction robotics, ensuring targets are achieved.
  • Lead rapid response for deployment requests and breakdown recovery.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
  • Develop short- and long term plans for robotics deployment, expansion, and capability development.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for robotics operations, maintenance, and investments.
  • Identify and recommend new robotic technologies to enhance construction performance.
  • Collaborate with robotics partners (e.g., Partner Robotics, Bright Dream, Fangshi Technology) to ensure technology suitability and uptime.
  • Maintain strong vendor relations and ensure compliance with Innovo's safety, operational, and performance requirements.
Construction Integration
  • Work with project managers and site engineers to identify opportunities where robotics improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Apply strong construction methodology knowledge to select use cases and sequencing for robotics.
  • Support pilot trials and drive continuous improvement to reduce rework and enhance output.
People & Growth
  • Build and lead a team of Robotics Engineers and Operators.
  • Provide coaching and training on robotics operations, safety, and troubleshooting.
  • Define team roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all robotic operations comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols.
  • Maintain full compliance with local and international regulations governing robotics and workplace safety.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Liaise with project managers, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to align robotics deployment with project requirements.
  • Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction robotics or industrial automation.
  • Experience working with robotic suppliers such as Partner Robotics, Bright Dream, Fangshi Technology, or similar is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing operations, teams and budgets.
  • Strong vendor management and technology evaluation experience.
  • Fluent in English; Chinese language proficiency is highly preferred.
