Robotics Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Automation Engineer will play a key role in automation, robotics development, machine troubleshooting, and reverse engineering of electrical/electronic systems. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong robotics skills, hands-on knowledge of sensors/actuators, and the ability to innovate through hardware design. Preference will be given to candidates with an impressive final-year project in automation or robotics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot robotic systems, automation modules, and mechatronic assemblies.
  • Work on electronics circuit design, PCB development, embedded systems, sensors, and microcontrollers.
  • Perform reverse engineering of equipment, components, and electronic circuits to improve or replicate functionality.
  • Integrate motors, PLCs, controllers, and communication modules for automated systems.
  • Develop test setups, prototypes, and custom tools for engineering teams.
  • Work with programming engineers for hardware–software integration.
  • Support maintenance and manufacturing teams in diagnosing electronic hardware faults.
  • Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams, BOMs, and testing reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven skills and experience in robotics, automation, and microcontroller programming (Arduino, STM32, ESP32, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, motor drivers, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus).
  • Hands-on skills in reverse engineering of circuits and equipment.
  • Ability to design basic PCBs and use tools like Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Final-year project demonstrating automation, robotic arm development, autonomous systems, or control applications.
  • Experience in industrial automation, PLCs, or robotic integration.
  • Knowledge of machine vision, AI-based robotics, or ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus.
