Rollback Operator

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CDL Rollback Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles, equipment, and other loads using specialized rollback trucks. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and manual transmission operation will ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate rollback trucks, flatbeds, tow trucks, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment to load, unload, and transport vehicles or cargo
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage during transit
• Assist customers with vehicle recovery, providing excellent customer service and clear communication throughout the process
• Manage conflict situations professionally when resolving customer or driver concerns
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation operations
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and mechanical systems
• Strong knowledge of manual transmissions and vehicle operation
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed or tow truck operation
• Experience driving flatbed trucks, tow trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues on-site
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations
• Prior experience operating forklifts or other industrial machinery is a plus
