Job Description – Room Attendant

Position Title: Room Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and presentable condition in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures a high level of hygiene, comfort, and guest satisfaction through attention to detail and consistent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures and productivity standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels as required.
  • Clean bathrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, floors, and amenities replenishment.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all room surfaces.
  • Ensure proper arrangement of furniture and in-room amenities.

Quality & Standards Compliance

  • Follow established housekeeping standards and cleaning procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure rooms meet cleanliness and presentation standards before release.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items immediately to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards.

Guest Interaction

  • Respond courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow lost-and-found procedures accurately.

Inventory & Supplies Management

  • Maintain proper use and care of cleaning equipment.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies in trolley.
  • Ensure safe storage of chemicals and cleaning materials.

Operational Support

  • Assist with deep cleaning programs as scheduled.
  • Support linen exchange and housekeeping stock control processes.
  • Comply with daily room quota and productivity expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
  • Experience in a 3-star or 4-star hotel is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,200.00 per month
