Job Description: IRATA Level 3 Supervisor

Role Summary:
A Level 3 is the manager and supervisor of the rope access team. They are responsible for the entire operation, including the safety of all personnel, the planning of the work, and the compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Manage: Develop and implement the rope access work plan, including all risk assessments and method statements.
  • Supervise: Take full responsibility for the safety and coordination of the entire rope access team on site.
  • Rigging Expertise: Design and oversee complex rigging setups, including anchor systems and contingency plans.
  • Rescue: Be proficient in planning for and executing all possible rescue scenarios from the rope access system.
  • Training: Mentor and train Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in strict compliance with the IRATA International Code of Practice and the company's safety policies.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the client on site regarding rope access matters.

Supervision Given:

  • Provides direct supervision to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.

Required Certification & Experience:

  • Certification: Valid IRATA Level 3 certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours and 12 months of logged experience at Level 2 is required to sit the rigorous Level 3 course and assessment. A Level 3 must also hold a valid first aid certificate.
