Job Title: Ruby on Rails (ROR) Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails (ROR) Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of developers while driving the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Ruby on Rails, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality software solutions within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of ROR developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and professional development support.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices and timelines.
• Architecture & Design: Collaborate with product managers and architects to design robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Coding & Development: Contribute to code development, optimization, and debugging for critical projects.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
• Process Improvement: Implement coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
• Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend tools or practices to enhance product performance and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 4+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a lead/managerial role.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and related frameworks.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL, caching strategies (Redis/Memcached), and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services like AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration abilities.
• Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices.
