Position Summary
To assist in the attainment of District goals through the effective and efficient planning of routes and by dispatching
bus drivers and assistants to perform school routes, program routes and extracurricular trips.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Organize trips and assign district personnel to provide transportation services to all eligible students.
2. Design routing, generate route descriptions, produce route maps, and coordinate time system schedules.
3. Collect and maintain route time, mileage data, student information, counts and attendance forms for
operations reports and billing.
4. Assist in the evaluation process for bus drivers and assistants.
5. Receive, review, and create student profiles for routing and parent app.
6. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, parents, school personnel and co-workers.
7. Work with requests from schools and departments for transportation and assign drivers to trips as needed.
8. Assist in resolving student and parent problems related to transportation and discipline.
9. Ensure safe departure and on-boarding of students through careful route design.
10. Report conditions to supervisor that impact your route.
11. Continually review and revise routes and bus-stops to improve productivity and routing efficiency.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected
for this position.
