Route Planner | Chocolate & Food Distribution | Dubai

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Route Planner to optimize daily delivery operations across the UAE and GCC. This role ensures that products reach customers on time and in the most efficient, cost-effective way — balancing delivery schedules, vehicle capacity, and route efficiency .

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of logistics planning, transportation systems, and the UAE road network , with experience in FMCG or food delivery operations .

• Plan, organize, and schedule daily and weekly delivery routes for drivers and logistics teams.
• Optimize delivery sequences to ensure on-time performance, reduced mileage, and fuel efficiency .
• Review and adjust routes based on order volume, geography, and traffic conditions .
• Use GPS, mapping software, or routing systems (e.g., Google Maps, Route4Me, Odoo, or similar tools) for planning.
• Continuously analyze route data to identify opportunities for time and cost optimization .

• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to align route planning with order dispatch and delivery priorities.
• Communicate route assignments clearly to drivers and logistics supervisors .
• Monitor delivery progress throughout the day and resolve delays, route deviations, or urgent reassignments .
• Ensure real-time coordination between drivers and customer service teams to maintain delivery reliability.

• Track and report on delivery KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, distance covered, and delivery costs.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and route records for analysis and reporting.
• Monitor vehicle utilization and driver performance , recommending process improvements.
• Assist in analyzing customer feedback related to delivery efficiency.

• Support the warehouse and logistics manager in scheduling deliveries and managing fleet availability.
• Assist in the preparation of daily dispatch reports, load plans, and trip summaries .
• Ensure adherence to food safety and product handling standards , especially for temperature-sensitive goods.
• Participate in route audits and post-route reviews to enhance operational performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• 2–4 years of experience in route planning, delivery coordination, or logistics (preferably in FMCG or food distribution).
• Excellent knowledge of UAE road networks, traffic patterns, and logistics regulations .
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Maps, and routing software .
• Experience using ERP or fleet management systems (Odoo, Zoho, SAP, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities .
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
