Rubber Products and Molds Development Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative and professional Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the development and design of rubber products and their corresponding injection molds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from the initial concept, through performance simulation and design validation, to the final design of precise and highly efficient molds for production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new and innovative rubber components using 3D CAD software.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to simulate and test product performance under various operating conditions (e.g., stress, strain, durability) and ensure they meet the required specifications.
• Design high-precision rubber injection molds, considering feed systems, cooling channels, and part ejection systems.
• Utilize injection molding process simulation software (like Moldex3D or Moldflow) to analyze rubber flow within the mold and optimize the process to prevent manufacturing defects.
• Select appropriate rubber materials based on the mechanical and chemical requirements of the product.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and to solve technical issues that may arise during production.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and complete specifications for products and molds.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the field of rubber product and injection mold design.
• Full proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks (preferred) or similar programs.
• Advanced experience using FEA simulation and analysis software such as Abaqus, Ansys, or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Proven practical experience with rubber injection molding simulation software like Moldex3D or Autodesk Moldflow.
• Deep understanding of the properties of various rubber materials (Hyperelastic Materials) and the vulcanization process.
• Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
