Mechanical Engineer Project Manager

Seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer project manager in Steel Fabrication and Machining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead metal works projects (steel, aluminum, façades, cladding, handrails, structures, etc.) from tendering to completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications.
• Supervise fabrication, production, and installation teams to ensure work is carried out to required standards.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and local regulations.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Prepare progress reports, attend site meetings, and communicate updates with stakeholders.
• Control project costs, variations, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in project management within the metal works / construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication, installation methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and AutoCAD (preferred).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in façade works, interior metal works or architectural metal structures.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working in the UAE/GCC region.
