We are hiring an experienced Safety Manager to lead all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) operations across our construction projects. This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing safety programs, enforcing compliance, managing risk, and driving a culture where safety is embedded into every aspect of work.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management
- Develop and manage tailored HSE programs based on site-specific risks
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, local regulatory bodies, and internal policies
Site Inspections & Audits
- Conduct routine safety inspections, identify hazards, and oversee corrective actions
- Ensure all documentation is properly maintained and reported
Risk Assessment
- Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk evaluations for all phases of construction
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies
Incident Investigation
- Respond to and investigate all incidents and near misses
- Complete root cause analysis and develop preventive measures
Training & Development
- Conduct onboarding safety orientations and deliver targeted safety training (e.g., work at height, confined spaces, heavy machinery)
- Lead weekly toolbox talks and refresher sessions for crews and subcontractors
Compliance & Reporting
- Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure site compliance
- Manage reports, logs, inspection records, and support official site inspections
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to plan safe work methods
- Actively promote a culture of accountability and continuous safety improvement
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- 10–15 years of safety management experience in construction (preferably on large-scale or high-risk projects)
- NEBOSH, CSP, or OHST certification
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Deep understanding of OSHA standards and construction-specific safety practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience with behavioral-based safety programs
- Familiarity with safety management software (e.g., incident reporting, inspection tracking)
