Safety Manager - Construction Site

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Manager with more than 20 years of professional experience in the UAE, preferably in construction, infrastructure, high-rise buildings,...etc. The candidate shall be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations and project safety standards. Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety plans.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, municipality regulations, and client safety requirements.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments regularly.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and government authorities regarding safety matters.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems and ensure safe execution of all site activities.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and implementation of emergency response procedures.
• Maintain all HSE documentation, records, reports, and statistics.
• Supervise and guide safety officers and safety supervisors on site.
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure site preparedness for emergencies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in UAE construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
• NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma certification mandatory.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Arabic speaker preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
