Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs at construction sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company safety standards, and client requirements.
• Organize and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for workers and staff.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, permits, and records as per legal and organizational standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to enforce safe work practices.
• Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
• Liaise with government authorities and external agencies for inspections and certifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or relevant field.
• Certified in Industrial Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in safety management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, labor laws, and EHS regulations.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and provide quick decision-making.
