SAFETY OFFICER

Health & Safety Management

• Implement and maintain HSE management systems in line with company policies, Qatar laws, and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Hazard Identification (HAZID) for plant operations.
• Monitor handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, raw materials, and finished products.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy (QP/QatarEnergy) HSE requirements, where applicable.

Plant & Process Safety

• Monitor safe operation of chemical reactors, storage tanks, pipelines, blending units, and utilities.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems (hot work, confined space, work at height).
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) including HAZOP participation and control measures.
• Verify use of correct PPE and safety equipment across all plant areas.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE induction and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Provide training on chemical safety, MSDS/SDS, spill response, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
• Promote safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Inspection, Audit & Compliance

• Carry out daily site inspections, safety audits, and compliance checks.
• Report unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) and regulatory authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, permits, and reports.

Incident & Emergency Management

• Investigate accidents, near misses, chemical spills, and fire incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Assist in emergency response planning, drills, and evacuation exercises.
• Act as first responder during emergencies until higher authorities arrive.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Chemical Plant, Detergent, Petrochemical, Industrial: 5 years (Required)

Language:

• ENGLISH ,ARABIC (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Chemical / Industrial / Mechanical Engineering (Required)
• NEBOSH /IGC /IOSH/OSHA & QATAR CIVIL DEFENSE , QE & QP rules (Preferred)
