About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Safety Officer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. You will be responsible for the strategic oversight of our safety programs, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA and local regulations, and fostering a "safety-first" culture across all site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Lead daily safety briefings (Toolbox Talks) and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities.
- Risk Assessment: Perform detailed HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for new and ongoing projects.
- Incident Investigation: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all near-misses and accidents; develop and track corrective action plans.
- Audit & Compliance: Conduct weekly site inspections and monthly deep-dive audits to ensure adherence to ISO 45001 and company standards.
- Training: Design and deliver specialized safety training modules for staff and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Experience: Exactly 5+ years of professional experience in a Safety Officer or HSE role (Experience in [Construction/Oil & Gas/Manufacturing] preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC or OSHA 30-Hour Construction/General Industry.
- Valid First Aid/CPR and Fire Safety certification.
