Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with valid TRAKHEES approval to ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and TRAKHEES EHS requirements across construction/project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with TRAKHEES EHS regulations, UAE labor laws, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and safety reports.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for workers and staff.
• Monitor work activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and submit reports with recommendations.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with TRAKHEES inspectors and other regulatory authorities during inspections.
• Maintain records of permits, inspections, incidents, training, and certifications.
• Monitor emergency preparedness including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture at the workplace.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Valid TRAKHEES Safety Officer Approval/Certification is mandatory.
• NEBOSH IGC certification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and TRAKHEES standards.
• Familiarity with risk assessment, incident investigation, and permit-to-work systems.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
