Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• To regularly monitor safety standards and procedures ensuring smooth running of daily shifts in safety related matters.
• To assist in the implementation of Safety Pillars and ensure compliance with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) standards.
• To conduct routine inspections and gap analysis to identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and recommend preventive measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• To ensure all Health, Safety and Environment equipment are calibrated and maintained to effectively meet emergencies situations.
• To advise personnel and ensure training is provided in all safety related matters to all new and existing personnel.
• To record and maintain a database of all inspections conducted to follow up and identify corrective actions.
• To assist the HSE Manager in investigating accidents or incidents to identify conditions that cause accidents and seek actions to prevent the same.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for employees and contractors, promoting safety culture across the organization.
• Conduct fire drills and evacuation exercises as per the schedule and submit report on the gaps identified.

Skills and Competency:

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Good Knowledge in use of Microsoft Applications
• Mandatory Requirement of UAE Driving License
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
• Ability to work under pressure and influence a safety-first culture.
