Job Description: Safety Officer – ADIS Certified (Data Center Experience)

Qualification: ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) + Diploma / Degree in Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards (Factories Act, NFPA, OSHA, IS codes, etc.) within the data center environment.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments across all critical infrastructure zones – including UPS rooms, battery banks, HVAC areas, electrical panels, etc.
• Oversee fire safety systems such as FM200/Novec 1230 gas suppression, VESDA systems, smoke detectors, fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits.
• Implement and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities including LOTO, hot work, confined space, and electrical isolations.
• Support 24/7 facility operations by enforcing safety procedures and ensuring emergency preparedness at all times.
• Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, induction training, and monthly safety awareness programs to employees, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain statutory compliance documentation and liaise with external agencies during audits or inspections.
• Support the implementation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 safety protocols as applicable to data center environments.
• Drive behavior-based safety (BBS) culture and encourage hazard reporting and proactive safety practices.

Educational & Professional Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Fire & Safety)
• ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) – Mandatory
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely – Preferred
• Certification or experience in ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 27001 compliance – Advantageous

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure safety, fire protection systems & electrical safety
• Familiarity with data center operations and facility management protocols
• Incident investigation & RCA techniques (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in high-availability, 24x7 mission-critical environments
• Sound understanding of emergency response planning and drills

Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 to 5 years in EHS roles, including at least 2+ years in data center or critical facility environments
• Proven track record of managing on-site safety in live operational facilities

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
