Hiring Safety Officer for one year, extendable contract

Job Title: Safety Officer

Reporting to: HSE Specialist/Project Manager

Tasks

Main responsibilities will include: -

1. Implementation of HSE plan at site.

2. Preparation and review of Risk assessments, JHA, JSA and suggestion of control measures

3. Familiar to manage/ supervise work as part of PTW process.

4. Prepare and comply with Project/service site HSE plans which covers all key aspects.

5. Prepare safety instructions and notices and assist /deliver relevant training. (inductions, TBTs, Safety Awareness /briefings etc)

6. Align comapnies HSE operations with customer-specific HSE requirements and site rules

7. Conduct workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and highlight corrective measures required, monitor and coordinate with site responsible personnel to close them.

8. Collect, analyze and report on HSE performance. Maintain records for HSE at sites.

9. Review with Service Manager for all the services call completed in the month, ensure all HSE procedures ( Site Preparation, ST5 , ABRA, JHA) are followed

10. Support implementation of HSE objectives, carry out incident investigations and root cause analyses within the respective areas.

11. Monitor Contractor and their personnel for compliance to their HSE Plan as well as site HSE Plans/Requirements.

12. Lead/Be part of incident investigations and capable of identification of root causes, contributing causes and suggestion of control measures. Coordinate with customer incident management systems and regulatory reporting requirements

13. Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific Emergency Response Plans Organize and conduct emergency drills (fire, evacuation, spill response, medical emergencies) Serve as Emergency Coordinator or support emergency response activities. Ensure emergency equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and personnel are trained. Liaise with customer emergency response teams and local emergency services. Manage hazardous materials emergency response procedures and spill containment.

14. Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, emissions, and discharges. Coordinate proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Support Company’s Sustainability Agenda and environmental performance objectives. Manage chemical inventories and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

15. Support PMs /Service Delivery Manager /Lead Engineers s in preparation of Lessons learnt on topics related to HSE.

16. To review with Service Manager for all the services call completed in the month, ensure all HSE procedures ( Site Preparation, ST5 , ABRA, JHA) are followed”

Requirements

Engineering/Diploma basic qualification and familiarity with automation industry.

At least 5 years’ experience in supporting Health and safety and Environment management in oil & gas industry in areas of automation/automation projects.

Nebosh IGC certification

Lead Auditor (in ISO 14001, 45001) certification is preferred.

Candidate to have a basic awareness on Electrical Safety.

Team player with good communication skills.

· Have 5+ years of experience working in Oil and Gas sector.

· Computer literate and well conversant with MS office tools. (Power points, Excel , Word etc)

· Fluent in English (speak and write); Ability to communicate in the language of workers and (Hindi, Tamil etc) would be an added advantage.

· Familiarity with HSE requirements from various customers would be an added advantage.

· Any approvals from Oil and Gas customers Locally (QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy Lng, Shell, North Oil, Dolphin etc) will be an added advantage.

· Competent to complete HSE trainings for Offshore and onshore locations and mobilise to site on request.

· Ability to work in Oil and Gas plants both onshore and offshore during normal plant operations and shutdowns.
