Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance at our electrical contracting sites. The role focuses on implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and achieving a zero-accident workplace through proactive monitoring, training, and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safety-first culture through safety interactions, toolbox talks (TBT), and pre-job safety meetings.
- Designed HSE training program for all staff members.
- Conduct induction programs for new employees and deliver HSE training to all staff.
- Organize and lead weekly safety review meetings to address safety issues and updates.
- Monitor site activities, inspect equipment, and ensure adherence to HSE regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit audit, observation, and closing reports for internal and client requirements.
- Investigate accidents/incidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
- Implement, review, and audit safety policies for high-risk environments.
- Oversee emergency response activities and recommend improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all safety-related data and reports.
- Ensure compliance with HSE goals, targeting a zero-level accident workplace.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in high-risk industries such as construction.
- Strong knowledge of HSE principles, regulations, and safety monitoring.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, prepare reports, and recommend preventive actions.
- Excellent skills in training delivery, problem-solving, and incident investigation.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively under pressure.
