Safety Officer (HSE)

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor company HSE policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company safety standards
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports
  • Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices on site
  • Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation
  • Coordinate with project/site managers to resolve safety issues
  • Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification (mandatory or preferred)
  • Minimum [X] years of experience as a Safety Officer
  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices
  • Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Knowledge of MS Office and safety reporting tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in [Construction / Industrial / Oil & Gas] environments
  • Knowledge of local labor and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and safety awareness mindset
