Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor company HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company safety standards
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports
- Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices on site
- Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate with project/site managers to resolve safety issues
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification (mandatory or preferred)
- Minimum [X] years of experience as a Safety Officer
- Good knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices
- Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Knowledge of MS Office and safety reporting tools
Preferred Skills
