Safety Officer / HSE Advisor – Civil Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and standards on-site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Organize and conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and training programs for site personnel.
• Maintain safety documentation including permits, inspection reports, and training records.
• Ensure use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers and visitors.
• Liaise with government agencies, clients, and contractors on safety-related matters.
• Participate in emergency response planning and implementation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of local safety laws, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and report writing.
• Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
