SAFETY OFFICER / SAFETY ENGINEER / EHS OFFICER

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our headquarters team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.

Position: SAFETY OFFICER / SAFETY ENGINEER / HSE OFFICER

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to oversee workplace safety and hazard management across TMC Group of Companies. The role involves developing policies, conducting training, auditing sites, and ensuring compliance with both local and international safety standards. Previous experience in the construction industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE laws and international standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs to foster a culture of safety awareness.
• Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
• Perform safety audits of work sites, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, including drills and preparedness exercises.
• Maintain safety communication by providing regular reports and updates to management and project teams.
• Stay current with evolving safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in the Gulf region, preferably in construction.
• NEBOSH Certification is mandatory (PLEASE ATTACHED TO YOUR CV)
• Additional certifications in Occupational Health and Safety are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local and international safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct effective training programs and awareness campaigns.
• Experience in incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus.

Pay: AED1.00 - AED5.00 per month
