Safety & Security Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a Safety & Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe and secure environment by developing safety programs, monitoring operations, and enforcing security protocols. This role requires strong observational skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update safety & security policies, programs, and training in line with legislation.
• Conduct employee and executive training sessions on safety and security awareness.
• Identify, assess, and document hazards, risks, and remediation controls.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and access control to prevent illegal activities.
• Conduct safety and security inspections across company premises and recommend control measures.
• Prepare reports on incidents, safety observations, operations audits, and statistical analyses for management.
• Investigate workplace accidents, prepare detailed reports, and escalate to authorities when required.
• Advise on safe use of machinery, equipment, and scanners to employees.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain accurate documentation and files related to safety and security.
• Track attendance details and coordinate with the security agency.
• Conduct periodic visits to monitor safety compliance and equipment conditions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in safety and security.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, surveillance equipment, and industry regulations.
• Experience in preventing illegal activities and managing access control.
• Familiarity with data analysis and report preparation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to observe situations, assess risks, and respond appropriately.
• Advanced ability to coordinate responses to security breaches and threats.
