Safety Senior Engineer

About POWERTECH

POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.

About The Role

The Safety Engineer ensures system safety and regulatory compliance throughout the engine lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA along development phases and engine lifecycle
  • Define safety methodology and objectives
  • Assess failure conditions and mitigation strategies.
  • Support certification safety reviews.
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems
  • Solid understanding of turbofan architectures and Test results analysis (including engine build-up and dressing, AGB, ECU, modules FAN/LPC/HPC/HPT/LPT/TRF/OGV…, sub-systems and their integration constraints)
  • Strong knowledge of certification rules (CS-E, FAR33, ARP4754A,STANAG, MIL-HDBK…), safety analysis FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA, ZSA and methodologies (SORA, SAIL Class, Weibull, Reliability Block Diagram, MTBF…)
  • Exposure to customer, OEMs, authorities and complex environment

Skills

  • Safety and Reliability Engineering
  • Software such as FaultTree+, Isograph Reliability Workbench, ReliaSoft, Windchill / Teamcenter
  • Agile and evident-based mindset
  • Ability to analyze and structure complex information into actionable product decision under pressure with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams
  • Excellent communication skills, team player
