Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Engineer with solid Oil & Gas project experience to ensure full compliance with HSE standards, promote a strong safety culture on site, and support safe execution of all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and safety programs in line with project and client requirements
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and client HSE policies
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments (JSA, HIRA)
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
• Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Monitor permit-to-work systems, lifting activities, confined space entry, and hot works
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare detailed reports
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and client HSE representatives
• Maintain accurate HSE records, statistics, and safety performance reports
• Promote continuous improvement and a zero-incident safety culture

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
• 5+ years of experience as a Safety Engineer in Oil & Gas / EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and safety systems
• Familiarity with OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and international HSE standards
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory
• Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills
• Ability to work on-site under demanding project conditions

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Saudi Aramco / ADNOC / Shell / Total / major EPC contractors
• Experience in construction, shutdowns, and commissioning phases
• Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills
