Sales Account Manager

Role Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and expanding the portfolio of customers

The role focuses on customer coverage, pipeline generation, and deal execution, while collaborating with Product Owners for vendor alignment.

The Sales Account Manager ensures consistent business flow, customer satisfaction, and identification of new opportunities within their assigned territory or customer base.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Target Achievement

  • Own and deliver revenue targets for assigned accounts/territory
  • Drive volume business with a focus on consistent deal flow
  • Support margin objectives through disciplined pricing

2. Customer Coverage & Relationship Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and requirements
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
  • Confirming customer requirements, budget, timeline, and decision-makers
  • Managing opportunity progression across all sales stages
  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline aligned with assigned targets
  • Ensuring accurate tracking and updates in CRM
  • Customer visits & calls
  • Market mapping
  • Campaign follow-ups

3. Pipeline Generation

  • Build a healthy and continuous pipeline through.

4. Opportunity Management

  • Manage opportunities from:
  • Qualification
  • Proposal
  • Closing
  • Handle standard deals independently

5. Vendor & Product Alignment

  • Work with Product Owners to:
  • Get pricing and quotations
  • Align with vendor offers and promotions
  • Ensure correct positioning of solutions

6. Cross-Selling & Upselling

  • Identify opportunities to:
  • Introducing new products/vendors
  • Expand existing customer spending
  • Leverage internal teams to maximize account potential

7. CRM & Reporting Discipline

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records:
  • Opportunities
  • Forecasts
  • Activities
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and updates
