Sales Agent

  • Sales with a focus on customer acquisition utilizing phone, internet, and computer systems to find the best solution for our clients
  • Contact health leads to pitch and close the greatest number of prospects each day - featuring solutions
  • that include base health policies with supplemental insurance
  • Offer only approved products to each new client
  • Continually meet or exceed sales goals given each day/week/month
  • Contact prospects that are generated by internal and external sources of leads
  • Radiate referral sales from within our client base
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail to cross-sell and up-sell
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales
  • Utilize sales scripting to overcome customer objections and follow the agency sales process flow
  • Emphasize product features & benefits, quote prices, discuss terms, and prepare clients for enrollment into featured plans as you enhance the Fortegra brand
  • Enter new customer data into the CRM and update changes to existing contact records
  • Participate in weekly call review sessions for sales process compliance and sales skill enhancement
  • Meet and sustain corporate objectives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required. Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 1 plus year sales, telesales, customer service or call center experience preferred.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, account development, and time management
  • State insurance license required
  • Positions tied directly to the generation of revenue for the organization
  • Requires self-starter
  • Requires desire for control over remuneration through commission income
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of insurance products preferred
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette and listening skills required
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Strong multi-tasking skills (phone, computer, software) required
