Sales and Marketing Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Solar Sales Representative responsible for generating and closing rooftop solar projects in the residential and small Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. The candidate will manage the complete sales cycle—from lead generation and site surveys to proposal submission, closing, and coordination with DISCOMs (DHBVN, BSES, etc.) for net metering and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

1) Sales & Business Development

  • Generate leads through field visits, references, and digital platforms.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Promote rooftop solar solutions for:
  • Residential customers (3–20 kW)
  • Small C&I customers (20–200 kW)
  • Conduct client meetings and technical discussions.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing and close deals.
  • Maintain CRM records of leads and pipeline.

2) Site Survey & Technical Coordination

  • Conduct preliminary site surveys (shadow analysis, roof measurement, load details).
  • Coordinate with design team for layout and capacity optimization.
  • Assist customers in documentation for net metering.
  • Coordinate with project team for smooth installation execution.

3) DISCOM & Government Liaisoning

  • Coordinate with:
  • DHBVN
  • BSES
  • Other relevant DISCOMs
  • Handle:
  • Net metering applications
  • Feasibility approvals
  • CEIG approvals (if applicable)
  • Meter installation follow-ups
  • Ensure compliance with state solar policies and MNRE guidelines.

4) Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Handle objections and provide ROI calculations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and referrals.
  • Provide post-installation support coordination.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales target achievement (kW & revenue)
  • Conversion ratio (%)
  • Average deal closure time
  • DISCOM approval turnaround efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction rating

Required Skills

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of rooftop solar systems
  • Knowledge of net metering regulations (Haryana & Delhi preferred)
  • Basic technical understanding of:
  • Solar modules
  • Inverters
  • Earthing & safety
  • Ability to conduct site surveys
  • MS Excel and proposal preparation skills
  • Local travel readiness

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
