Sales Associate

Job Summary:

It’s a Dream Smoke Shop is seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our store—providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping our customers find the right products for their needs. A good attitude, initiative, and strong work ethic are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:

Greet customers promptly and warmly. Answer questions about products such as glassware, hookahs, tobacco alternatives, vaporizers, and accessories. Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs.

• Sales & Register Operation:

Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and card payments responsibly. Upsell and promote current deals.

• Product Knowledge:

Learn and stay up to date on new product lines, smoking accessories, local laws, and store policies to better assist customers.

• Store Cleanliness & Presentation:
• Regularly clean glass products, hookahs, and display cases.
• Keep shelves dust-free and fully stocked.
• Ensure the store is tidy, including floors, counters, and the checkout area.
• Daily Task Execution:

Begin working on the daily task list early in your shift. Do not wait until closing hours. Stay proactive and manage time wisely.

• Stocking & Inventory:

Receive and unpack deliveries, check inventory levels, and restock products on shelves in an organized manner.

• Loss Prevention:

Be alert to suspicious activity and help prevent theft. Report any concerns immediately.

• Professional Conduct:

Limit personal phone usage during shifts. Keep yourself occupied by checking for tasks (cleaning, restocking, assisting customers). Stay alert and engaged.

• Teamwork:

Communicate respectfully and work cooperatively with other team members and management.

• Other Duties as Assigned:

Assist with store promotions, signage updates, special cleaning tasks, or events as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or smoke shop experience preferred, but not required
• Must be 21 years of age or older (due to legal product restrictions)
• Friendly, respectful, and reliable with a professional demeanor
• Basic math and computer skills for operating POS systems
• Able to stand, walk, and lift boxes (up to 30 lbs) for extended periods

Work Schedule:

Flexible availability preferred, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
