<Role Overview>
As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and inspiring in-store experience while supporting day-to-day operations, merchandising, and brand development. You’ll work closely with the team to drive sales, connect with customers, and help shape the identity of Circular Library as a hub for sustainable lifestyle brands.
This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about fashion, sustainability, and independent brands, and who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative environment where ideas are valued and initiative is encouraged.
<Key Responsibilities>
Job Duties:
1. Customer & Sales Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and offering personalized styling and product recommendations
- Drive in-store sales by maintaining strong product knowledge and effectively communicating brand stories and product features
- Support visual merchandising standards by maintaining organized displays, replenishing merchandise, and keeping the sales floor presentable
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and performance targets
2. Operations & POS / Inventory
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system, including handling payments, returns, and exchanges
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, tagging merchandise, stock replenishment, and cycle counts
- Coordinate with the store manager on online order fulfillment, packing, and shipping as needed
3. E-commerce Support
- Support e-commerce operations by uploading and maintaining product listings, including product descriptions, pricing, images, and inventory updates
- Assist with basic online merchandising and inventory synchronization between in-store and online channels
4. Business Development & Brand Partnerships
- Support business diversification initiatives by assisting with sustainable brand discovery, buying support, and partnership development
- Assist in researching emerging and independent brands aligned with the store’s sustainability and community values
- Support onboarding of new brands, including product setup, merchandising coordination, and brand storytelling in-store and online
5. Events & Community
- Participate in store events, pop-ups, workshops, and community activities to support brand engagement and customer retention
- Support event preparation, customer communication, and in-store execution as needed
<Qualifications>
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred (fashion/lifestyle retail a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with customers
- Interest in fashion, styling, and sustainable / independent brands
- Sales-driven, proactive, and positive attitude
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with POS systems and basic digital tools (Shopify a plus)
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Weekend availability required
